Agents of Oblivion was an alternative metal band from Louisiana that formed after the breakup of Acid Bath . With Dax Riggs as the front man, their sound included elements of psychedelic rock , doom metal , swamp rock , folk rock and blues rock .

history

After Audie Pitre passed away, Dax Riggs decided to form a slower band. This then became Daisyhead & The Mooncrickets. However, this only laid the foundation for what was to come.

Shortly thereafter, Agents of Oblivion was founded. The band consisted of the two former Acid Bath members Riggs and Mike Sanchez.

The band released a self-titled album in 2000, but broke up soon after. Their music was a mix of Dax's previous band and influences from T. Rex and an early David Bowie . In stark contrast to this were the morbid and gloomy lyrics. With Dead Girl, there was also an acid bath song on the album.

After the breakup, Riggs formed Deadboy and the Elephantmen with Chuck Pitre. Alex Bergeron later joined and continued Riggs's post-Deadboy solo oeuvre.
