Agnes Plum

Agnes Plum (born April 9, 1869 as Agnes Jansen in Bardenberg , † August 10, 1951 in Essen ) was a German politician (SPD, KPD).

Plum attended elementary school . She then made her living as a maid. She later became a worker. In 1905, Plum, who was married twice, joined the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD).

During the First World War she switched to the Independent Social Democratic Party of Germany (USPD). In 1921 she took part in the split party conference of the USPD. While most of the USPD members subsequently returned to the SPD, Plum became a member of the Communist Party of Germany (KPD). At that time she was living as a worker in Schonnebeck near Essen , where she was also a member of the local council. In addition, she was a member of the district assembly and the provincial assembly of the Rhine Province .

In December 1925 Plum moved after replacement for the retiring party members Artur Koenig as representatives of their party for the constituency 22 (Dusseldorf-east) in the Reichstag one, which she belonged to the rest of the third term of the Weimar Republic, which until May 1928 lasted. After 1929 she no longer emerged politically.
