Agnes from Bar
Agnes von Bar (* around 1177; † June 19, 1226 ) was a Duchess of Lorraine .
Agnes was the daughter of Theobald I, who had ruled as Count von Bar since 1190, and his first wife Lauretta von Looz, a daughter of Count Ludwig I von Looz and Rieneck. In 1189 Agnes married the future Duke Friedrich II of Lorraine. She was mistress of Amance , Longwy and Stenay .
Agnes may have had a young deceased son named Theobald from her husband, but at least the following six children:

The Cistercian monk Alberich von Trois-Fontaines records the death of Agnes in his world chronicle in 1226, which means that she outlived her husband by 13 years. She had also written her will in 1226. She was buried in the Beaupré monastery.
