Amance is a French commune with 340 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meurthe-et-Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Nancy and the Canton of Grand Couronné (until 2015: Canton of Malzéville ).
geography
The municipality of Amance is located on a mountain spur of the 407 m high Grand Mont , about ten kilometers northeast of the city center of Nancy . The eastern half of the municipality is forested and part of the Forêt d'Amance . The hamlet of Fleurfontaine (chateau with courtyard) and an INRA building complex belong to the municipality .
Neighboring municipalities non Amance are Bouxières-aux-Chênes in the west and north, Bey-sur-Seille (point of contact) and Brin-sur-Seille in the northeast, Mazerulles in the east, Champenoux in the southeast, Laneuvelotte in the south and Laître-sous-Amance in the southwest .
