Lay-Saint-Christophe is a French commune with 2,441 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meurthe-et-Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Nancy and the canton of Entre Seille et Meurthe . The inhabitants are called Layen (ne) s .

Lay-Saint-Christophe is located at the confluence of the Amezule and Meurthe , about seven kilometers north of Nancy .
Lay-Saint-Christophe is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Faulx in the north, Eulmont in the east, Malzéville in the south, Champigneulles in the southwest and Bouxières-aux-Dames in the west.
