Viterne is a French commune with 733 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meurthe-et-Moselle department in the Grand Est region . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Nancy and the Canton of Meine au Saintois (until 2015: Canton Vézelise ). The inhabitants are called Viternois .

geography

Viterne in the north of the Saintois countryside is about 16 kilometers southwest of Nancy . Viterne is surrounded by the neighboring communities Sexey-aux-Forges in the north, Maizières in the north and east, Marthemont in the east and south-east, Germiny in the south, Thuilley-aux-Groseilles in the west and Ochey in the west and north-west.
