Chaouilley in the north of the Saintois countryside is about 29 kilometers south-southwest of Nancy . Chaouilley is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Étreval in the north and north-west, Vroncourt in the north, Forcelles-Saint-Gorgon in the north-east, Praye in the east, Saxon-Sion in the south and south-east, Vaudémont in the south and south-west and Thorey-Lyautey in the west.
