Thézey-Saint-Martin is located about 24 kilometers north-northeast of Nancy on the Seille , which borders the municipality in the west. Thézey-Saint-Martin is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Vulmont in the north, Foville in the east and northeast, Alaincourt-la-Côte in the east and southeast, Craincourt in the south, Létricourt in the south and southwest, Abaucourt in the west and Phlin in the northwest.
