Atton is a French commune with 832 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meurthe-et-Moselle department in the Grand Est region (before 2016 Lorraine ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Nancy and the Canton of Pont-à-Mousson . The inhabitants are called Attonais .

geography

Atton is located about 26 kilometers north-northwest of Nancy on the Moselle , which borders the municipality in the west. Atton is surrounded by the neighboring communities Mousson in the north, Lesménils in the north and northeast, Morville-sur-Seille in the northeast, Port-sur-Seille in the east, Sainte-Geneviève in the south and southeast, Loisy in the south, Blénod-lès-Pont- à-Mousson in the west and south-west and Pont-à-Mousson in the north-west.
