Rosières-aux-Salines is a French commune with 2,858 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meurthe-et-Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Nancy and the Canton of Lunéville-2 (until 2015: Canton Saint-Nicolas-de-Port ).

Rosières-aux-Salines is located on the Meurthe River and about 15 kilometers southeast of Nancy . Rosières-aux-Salines is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Varangéville in the north, Dombasle-sur-Meurthe in the north-east, Hudiviller in the east, Anthelupt in the east and south-east, Damelevières in the south-east, Vigneulles and Saffais in the south, Ferrières in the south-west, Coyviller in the west as well Saint-Nicolas-de-Port in the north-west.
The A33 autoroute runs through the municipality .
history
