Laneuveville-devant-Nancy is a French commune with 6541 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meurthe-et-Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Nancy and the Canton of Grand Couronné (until 2015: Tomblaine ).

In Laneuveville-devant-Nancy, a few kilometers south-southeast of Nancy , the Canal de jonction de Nancy and the Canal de la Marne au Rhin connect . The Meurthe forms the northern boundary of the municipality. Laneuveville-devant-Nancy is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Tomblaine in the north, Art-sur-Meurthe in the north-east and east, Varangéville and Saint-Nicolas-de-Port in the south-east, Ville-en-Vermois in the south, and Fléville-devant-Nancy in the Southwest, Heillecourt to the west and Jarville-la-Malgrange to the northwest.
