The Métropole du Grand Nancy is a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Métropole in the Meurthe-et-Moselle department in the Grand Est region . It was founded on December 31, 1995 as Communauté urbaine and raised to the rank of Métropole with effect from July 1, 2016. It comprises 20 municipalities, the administrative center is in the city of Nancy .
