Laxou is a French commune with 14,444 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meurthe-et-Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It is the main town in the Laxou canton of the same name in the Nancy district .

geography

Laxou borders the city center of Nancy immediately to the west . The two cities merge into one another without any visible border. Autoroute A33 branches off from Autoroute A31 in the district of Laxou . To the west of Laxou is the Forêt de Haye forest area .
