Vitrey is located about 25 kilometers south-southwest of Nancy in the Saintois countryside . Vitrey is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Goviller in the north and west, Parey-Saint-Césaire in the north and north-east, Hammeville in the east, Ognéville in the south and south-east and Lalœuf in the south and south-west.
