Worth seeing

The Haroué Castle was from 1720 to 1732 by Germain Boffrand for Prince Marc de Beauvau built. Today's castle stands on the site of the destroyed medieval complex that last belonged to the marshal, diplomat and bon vivant François de Bassompierre before it was destroyed in the turmoil of the wars of Louis XIV . Well-known artists, including Jean Lamour and Barthélemy Guibal, were involved in furnishing the palace and the gardens . The castle is classified as a monument historique .
