Praye is a French commune with 268 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meurthe-et-Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Nancy and the Canton of Meine au Saintois (until 2015: Canton Vézelise ).

Praye is located about 28 kilometers south-southwest of Nancy in the Saintois countryside . Praye is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Forcelles-Saint-Gorgon in the north, Tantonville in the northeast, Xirocourt in the east, Saint-Firmin in the east and southeast, Housséville in the south, Saxon-Sion in the west and southwest and Chaouilley in the west.
