Houdemont is a French commune with 2,108 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meurthe-et-Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Nancy and the Canton of Jarville-la-Malgrange . The inhabitants are called Houdemontais .

geography

Houdemont is about four kilometers south of Nancy . Houdemont is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Vandœuvre-lès-Nancy in the north and west, Heillecourt in the east and northeast, Fléville-devant-Nancy in the southeast, Ludres in the south and Chavigny in the west.

The A33 and A330 autoroute run through the municipality .
