Villers-sous-Prény is located about 31 kilometers north-north-west of Nancy . Villers-sous-Prény is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Vandières in the north and northeast, Norroy-lès-Pont-à-Mousson in the south and east and Vilcey-sur-Trey in the west.

The municipality is located in the Lorraine Regional Nature Park .
