Frouard is a French commune with 6563 inhabitants (January 1, 2017) in the Meurthe-et-Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). She is a member of the Bassin de Pompey community association founded in 1995 .

geography

Frouard is ten kilometers north of Nancy at the confluence of the Moselle and Meurthe . It is a major inland port and hub for the railroad and inland waterways . The community is connected to Pompey by a bridge on the opposite bank of the river.
