The canton of Val de Lorraine Sud is a French canton in the arrondissement of Nancy , in the department of Meurthe-et-Moselle and in the region of Grand Est (until the end of 2015 Lorraine ); its capital is Maxéville .

The canton was created when the French cantons were redistributed in 2015. Its communes all come from the dissolved canton of Pompey .

In the first ballot on March 22, 2015, none of the five voting pairs achieved an absolute majority. In the runoff election on March 29, 2015, Patricia Daguerre-Jacque / Laurent Trogrlic (both PS) won against Monique Delong / Patrick Niquel (both FN ) with a share of the vote of 58.83% (turnout: 47.00%).
