Belleville is a French commune with 1,441 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meurthe-et-Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Nancy and the canton of Entre Seille et Meurthe (until 2015: canton of Pont-à-Mousson ). The inhabitants are called Bellevillois .

Belleville is located about 15 kilometers north-north-west of Nancy on the Moselle . Belleville is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Autreville-sur-Moselle in the north, Millery in the east, Marbache in the south, Saizerais in the south-west and Dieulouard in the west and north-west.

The A31 autoroute runs through the municipality .
