Crantenoy is a French commune with 152 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meurthe-et-Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). The municipality is part of the Nancy arrondissement and the Pays du Saintois municipality .
geography
Crantenoy is to the east of the Saintois countryside , about 28 kilometers south of Nancy . Crantenoy is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Ormes-et-Ville in the north, Saint-Remimont in the northeast, Laneuveville-devant-Bayon in the east, Leménil-Mitry in the southeast, Vaudeville in the south and west and Haroué in the northwest.
history
When in 1987 the commune of Les Mesnils-sur-Madon was dissolved and the communes of Ormes-et-Ville and Vaudigny became independent, the commune of Crantenoy emerged from the remaining part.
