Azelot is a French commune with 422 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meurthe-et-Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Nancy and the Canton of Jarville-la-Malgrange (until 2015: Canton Saint-Nicolas-de-Port ). The inhabitants are called Azelotais .

geography

Azelot is about 13 kilometers south-southeast of Nancy . Azelot is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Lupcourt in the north, Ville-en-Vermois in the northeast, Burthecourt-aux-Chênes in the east and southeast and Flavigny-sur-Moselle in the south and west.

The Nancy-Azelot airfield is located in the municipality.
