Thélod is about 23 kilometers south-southwest of Nancy . Thélod is surrounded by the neighboring communities Marthemont in the north, Maizières in the north and northeast, Xeuilley in the east and northeast, Houdelmont in the east, Parey-Saint-Césaire in the south and southeast, Goviller in the southwest and Germiny in the west.
