Heillecourt is a French commune with 5527 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meurthe-et-Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Nancy and the Canton of Jarville-la-Malgrange . The inhabitants are called Heillecourtois .
geography
Heillecourt is about four kilometers south of Nancy . Heillecourt is surrounded by the neighboring communities Jarville-la-Malgrange in the north, Laneuveville-devant-Nancy in the east, Fléville-devant-Nancy in the south, Houdemont in the west and Vandœuvre-lès-Nancy in the north-west.
The A330 autoroute runs along the western edge of the municipality . With 35 hectares, the Grand Parc de l'Embanie takes up around a tenth of the municipal area.

As the court of Haldulf - Haldulfocurtis , the place is first mentioned at the end of the 8th century - at the beginning of the reign of Charlemagne.
