Dozer is a stoner rock - band from Sweden .

history

Dozer was founded in 1995 in the Swedish city of Borlänge , where the band first appeared in local youth clubs and took the opportunity to play as a support act for more well-known bands.

In 1998, the band released together with their American genre -Kollegen Unida the Split -EP Coming Down the Mountain , which appeared on the label Meteor City.

Thereafter, while trying to secure a record deal , a demo tape was sent to Man's Ruin Records (an influential stoner rock label at the time). Frank Kozik , the head of the record company, was impressed and immediately took a liking to the band, producing their first album In the Tail of a Comet in 2000 for around $ 500. Despite the low production costs, the album was very well received by listeners.

The second album Madre De Dios was released in 2001 on Man's Ruin and as a vinyl version on Molten Universe.

For their third album, the band entrusted themselves to the Swedish producer Chips Kiesbye , who is also known for his collaboration with the Hellacopters . Call It Conspiracy was released in 2003 on the band's own label Molten Universe and was highly praised by critics and fans. At that time, Dozer also made the video for the single Rising .

2005 began the recordings for the fourth studio album Through the Eyes of Heathens (released on Small Stone Records) in the Seawolf Studios in Helsinki . The album contains the song Until Man Exists No More with a guest appearance by Troy Sanders , singer and bassist for the band Mastodon . Lidén left Dozer in early 2006. He was replaced by Olle Mårthans.

At the end of 2008 her fifth album Beyond Colossal was released, which was followed by a short European tour.

In 2009 the band announced that they would take an indefinite break because singer Fredrik Nordin wanted to catch up on his school leaving certificate. Nothing is known about the rest of the band.

Dozers have had more than 300 live performances to date and toured with a number of bands including Brain Police , Mastodon , Rollins Band , Hellacopters , Spiritual Beggars , Clutch , Unida , Zeke , Nebula and Entombed .
