Agrabad ( Bengali : আগ্রাবাদ ) is an inner city district in Chittagong , the second largest city in Bangladesh . The district has a direct connection to the port of Chittagong and is therefore of economic importance. Among other things, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Chittagong Stock Exchange are located in Agrabad.
history
Agrabad was originally an independent village, which was incorporated in 1947. The development into a modern economic center took place in the 1950s .
