Aharon Zisling ( Hebrew אהרון ציזלינג; * February 26, 1901 in Minsk , Russian Empire ; † January 16, 1964 in Israel ) was an Israeli politician, minister and signatory of the Israeli Declaration of Independence .

Life

Zisling immigrated to Palestine in 1904. He was one of the founders of the Children and Youth Aliyah and was one of the commanders of the Hagana . He was also one of the founders of the Palmach and one of the founders of the Achdut haAwoda party . As a member of the Mapam , he was Minister of Agriculture under David Ben-Gurion from May 14, 1948 to March 10, 1949 .
