Ahmed II (* 1642 or 1643; † February 6, 1695 in Edirne ) was sultan of the Ottoman Empire from 1691 to 1695 .

Ahmed was a son of Sultan İbrahim and succeeded his brother Suleyman II on the throne. His main merit was to confirm Köprülü Fazıl Mustafa as Grand Vizier . But just a few weeks after his accession to the throne, the Ottoman Empire suffered a defeat by the Habsburgs under Prince Ludwig von Baden in the Battle of Slankamen . Nevertheless, an approximate balance of power emerged in Hungary in the period that followed. Ahmed died in 1695, exhausted from illness and grief.
