The Ahrburg is a former moated castle on the eastern outskirts of Golzheim , Merzenich municipality in the Düren district , North Rhine-Westphalia .

The first known owners are the members of the Luschane family. An Arnold Luschane von Golzheim documented it in 1413. At that time the Ahrburg was named after the owner Luschenicher Hof . In 1571 the property fell to the brothers Alexander, Bertram and Otto von Ahr. The family comes from Antweiler (Mechernich) . The Luschenicher Hof has been called Ahrburg since 1581 .

In the middle of the 18th century, the Golzheim mayor von Herweg owned the property. In 1748 he had the manor house still preserved today , a two-storey rectangular building with a mansard roof , built. After that, the Kempis family became owners.
