Life

Gräf is married to the German computer scientist Guntram Gräf. The couple has been active in the virtual world of Second Life since 2004 .

The avatar Anshe Chung, used by the Graefs in Second Life since 2004, caused an international sensation . This was developed and played as a purely virtual online personality like in a role-playing game. According to his own statements, Anshe Chung is the first avatar who would be a millionaire in real life by doing business within Second Life if he could exchange his "in-game" assets ("Linden $") for US $. The avatar Anshe Chung owned about 10% of the land available in Second Life in 2007.

In February 2006 the couple founded the company "Anshe Chung Studios" (ACS) in China, which offers the sale and design of land, the design and construction of buildings, as well as support and personnel in virtual worlds such as Second Life or IMVU. According to Anshe Chung, creating a virtual corporate identity in 2007 typically cost $ 5,000 to $ 10,000.
