Aimé Durbec

Aimé Durbec (born September 13, 1902 in Ollioules , † December 23, 1991 in Garches ) was a French football player .

Club career

The right-back Durbec played from 1924 on for the southern French club Olympique Marseille and was an amateur player due to the lack of a professional league . Two years later, Marseille won the 1926 national cup final , but he was not involved in the final. Unlike the previous year, he was called up for the new edition of the final in 1927 and was able to secure the title defense thanks to a 3-0 win against US Quevilly . In 1929 Durbec also managed to win the French amateur championship with Marseille , which was then synonymous with the national title.

In 1931 he turned his back on Marseille and moved to RC Paris ; with this club he reached in the course of the 1931/32 season the qualification for the first edition of the professional league Division 1 and joined in the 1932/33 season with Paris in the newly created top French division; it ran in six first division games, which remained his only since he signed in 1933 with the second division Stade Français . He wore the club's jersey until 1934 and ended his footballing career; afterwards he worked for the state power company Électricité de France .

National team

The player made his debut for the French national team when he stood on June 12, 1927 in an international match against Hungary; the game ended with a clear 1:13 defeat for the French and was at the same time the only calling for Durbec.
