Aingeru Epaltza Ruiz de Alda (* 1960 in Pamplona (Basque Iruña )) is a Basque writer .

Life

Aingeru Epaltza was born in Pamplona (Basque: Iruña ) in 1960 . The trained journalist worked for many years in various media and is now a translator for the national government of Navarre . Since he began his literary career as a playwright in 1984, he has been considered one of the pioneers of modern Basque literature in Navarre. In addition to writing children's and young people's books and short stories, he is best known as a novelist.

Prices

In 1997 he received the Basque Literature Prize for the novel Tigre ehizean (The Hunt for the Tiger).
