Air Armenia was an Armenian airline based in Yerevan .

history

Air Armenia was founded in 2003 as a cargo airline . After Armavia's bankruptcy in March 2013, Air Armenia also offers passenger flights. The maiden flight from Yerevan to Rostov was in October, followed shortly after by regular flights to Moscow . Further destinations in Russia, as well as two weekly flights in the 2014/15 winter flight schedule to Frankfurt am Main, should follow.

At the end of October 2014 it was announced that the airline would cease operations until December 20, 2014.

In October 2015 it was announced that a minority shareholder was subscribing to bonds and that flight operations were scheduled to resume in summer 2016.

As of March 2015, the fleet consisted of an Airbus A319 (CJ / VIP) which is operated for the Armenian government.
