Air Finland was a Finnish airline based in Vantaa and based at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport .
history
Air Finland was founded in January 2002 and was owned by five individuals who worked in the aerospace, finance and travel marketing sectors.
Since April 3, 2003 Air Finland has been operating scheduled and charter flights to holiday destinations in the Mediterranean . In the first year 89,000 passengers were counted, in 2004 there was a rapid increase with the number of passengers to 311,000 passengers. In the years that followed, Air Finland expanded its customer base to include leisure travelers, which resulted in more charter flights.
In 2010 Air Finland introduced a new corporate design .
On June 26, 2012 Air Finland ceased operations for economic reasons and went into bankruptcy .
Destinations
Air Finland flew from Helsinki to holiday destinations in the Mediterranean and the Canary Islands as well as to Dubai .
