Nordic Regional Airlines ( Norra for short , proper spelling N ° RRA ) is a Finnish airline based in Vantaa and based at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport . It is a subsidiary of Finnair .
history
Nordic Regional Airlines was founded on July 1, 2011 as a joint venture between Finnair and Flybe on the basis of Finncomm Airlines as Flybe Nordic . The purchase price from Finncomm Airlines was 25 million euros , of which Flybe paid 12 million euros and Finnair 13 million euros. Flybe held 60% of the shares in the company until November 2014, Finnair 40%. On August 24, 2011, Flybe Nordic presented the first 24 destinations, including those served by the former Finncomm Airlines, although some routes were also flown for Finnair. Flybe considered taking over the air traffic from August 1st 2011 and dissolving Finncomm Airlines. However, this date has been postponed to October 30, 2011, when Flybe Nordic finally took over operations from Finncomm Airlines.
In the fall of 2012 took Flybe Nordic the entire Embraer 190 fleet of Finnair .
In November 2014 Flybe sold its unprofitable stake in Flybe Nordic for a symbolic price of one euro to Finnair, which became the sole owner of Flybe Nordic and renamed the company Nordic Regional Airlines in June 2015 . Finnair again sold 60% of its shares in November 2015 to the family business Staffpoint (45%) and the investment company Kilco (15%).
