Akçabelen is a village in Turkey , which belongs to the Konya Province . The village has about 4,000 inhabitants and was initially called Çepni and later Çetmi. The village was given its current name in 1973. The right-wing extremist MHP currently provides the mayor. Akçabelen has the status of Belediye and has belonged to Beyşehir County since 1964 .

In 2010 the mayor founded the soccer team " Akcabelenspor ". An indoor stadium was built for the foundation.
