The Akaga Glacier ( Bulgarian ледник Акага Lednik Akaga ) is a 5.7 km long and 2.2 km wide glacier on the Nordenskjöld Coast of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . From the southeastern slopes of the Detroit Plateau, it flows south of the Sinion Glacier and north of the glacier with the Arrol Icefall in an east-southeast direction to Odrin Bay .
British scientists mapped it in 1978. The Bulgarian Commission on Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2013 after Akaga, a proto- Bulgarian leader of the 6th century .
