The Akaiwa Yama ( Japanese 赤 岩山 'Rotfelsenberg' (freely translated), Norwegian Akaiwaberget ) is a 1689 m high mountain in Queen Maud Land in East Antarctica . It rises at the eastern end of the Berrheia in the mountains of Sør Rondane .
Japanese scientists took measurements in 1983 and named it. She took aerial photos of the mountain between 1981 and 1982 and 1987.
