Al Alleborn

Carl "Al" Alleborn (born February 12, 1892 in Kansas City , Missouri , † June 14, 1968 in Hollywood , California ) was an American assistant director who was nominated at the Academy Awards 1934 for the Oscar for best assistant director .

biography

Alleborn began as a stuntman in the Hollywood film industry before he became an assistant director at Show Girl in Hollywood in 1930 and later also worked as a production manager. During his work in film he was involved in the production of more than 40 films.

At the Academy Awards in 1934 he was nominated for the Oscar for best assistant director and had worked in seven film productions in this role.

Well-known films in which he worked as production manager were Vater Dirigiert (1938), Die Spur des Falken (1941), Dive Bomber (1941), Casablanca (1942) and My Dream Are You (194). He has worked with film directors such as Michael Curtiz and John Huston .
