Alain Ayroles

Alain Ayroles (born January 26, 1968 in Saint-Céré ) is a French comic book author .

biography

Alain Ayroles began studying comics in 1986 at the École européenne supérieure de l'image in Angoulême . He developed his way of telling stories at role play tables. The comic series Garulfo and Mit Mantel und Degen emerged from such a game world, which he created back then . In both series, Ayrole's special style emerges, which is characterized by a strong sense of dialogue and tries to return to the sources of the great stories that have shaped European culture in order to then respectfully undermine it.

Between 2009 and 2014, Ayroles published the three-part comic series D together with the illustrator Bruno Maiorana, which can be understood as the opposite pole to the trend around the trivialized vampires of Stephenie Meyer's Bis (s) series .
