Alain Joule
Alain Joule (* 1950 in Marseille ) is a French composer and jazz percussionist.
Live and act
Joule studied at the Marseille Conservatory and began his musical career as a drummer in orchestras and rhythm and blues bands. He played with the guitarist Joseph Dejean and directed the Le Vivant Quartet , which recorded "Ce qu'a vu le Cers" by Luc Ferrari in 1979 . In the mid-1990s he worked in a trio of Barre Phillips with Michel Doneda (album no pieces on Emouvance).
As a composer, Joule created not only instrumental and musical theater works, but also multimedia works including dance, painting and sculpture such as Le Bruit des Temps (in collaboration with Bernard Noël , Barre Phillips, Bertrand Vivin and Annick Nozati ). For the choreographer Jean Rochereau he wrote Histoire d'Elze and Porte-fenêtre , for the dancer and choreographer Geneviève Choukroun Messe bleue and Les portes du vent .
