Elektrougli ( Russian Электроугли ) is a city with 20,136 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010) in the Noginsk Raion of the eastern Moscow Oblast , Russia . It is located 36 km from Moscow and 20 km from Rajon -Zentrum Noginsk removed.

history

Elektrougli was built in 1899 on the railway line from Moscow to Nizhny Novgorod, which had already been built at that time, with the establishment of an electrical industrial company, which also gave the place its current name (Elektrougli means " electric coal "). From 1935 to 1956 it had the status of a workers' settlement, after which it received city rights.

Economy and Infrastructure

The main operation of the city is still the Elektrougli factory , there is also a cable factory and a ceramics factory in the village. Elektrougli is also the location of a research institute for the development of electro-coal products for the defense industry. This was also involved in the development of the Topol-M ICBM.

The next trunk road is the M7 . Rail connections exist over the Nizhny Novgorod route (formerly a section of the Transsib ), where Elektrougli has a small regional train station. There are also regular bus connections with Moscow.
