Remains of an old country estate in Pushchino

Pushchino is located on the Oka River and is visited by many Muscovites, especially in summer, who use their weekend properties or find a retreat from the big city in their apartments. The relatively clean air and very low crime rate increase the attractiveness of the town and have recently led to increased construction activity.

The closest major city is Serpuchow a good 15 kilometers as the crow flies northwest of Pushchino on the opposite bank of the Oka.
