Likino-Duljowo ( Russian Ликино́-Дулёво ) is a city in Russia with 31,321 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010). It is located in Moscow Oblast , almost 100 km east of Moscow and 10 km south of the city of Orechowo-Sujewo .

history

The current city emerged from the two villages Likino and Duljowo. The latter had been known since the 1830s for a porcelain factory based here , and a textile factory had existed in Likino since 1870. In 1930 the two villages were merged to form a workers' settlement called Likino-Duljowo, which was granted city rights in 1937.

Economy and Transport

Today there are several important industrial companies in Likino-Duljowo: the Duljowo porcelain factory founded in 1832, today one of the largest of its kind in Russia, the textile factory founded in 1870, and since 1959 the LiAS bus factory , which is still Russia's most famous manufacturer of public buses Local transport heard. The Duljowo paint factory, which has been in existence since 1931, is also known.

In terms of transport, the city is accessible via the A108 ring road, a little further north (near Orechowo-Sujewo) the M7 trunk road runs . The city has a regional train station on the Moscow Great Ring Railway.

Attractions

The most famous building in Likino-Duljowos is the culture house of the porcelain factory, which was designed in 1927–1929 by the famous architect Konstantin Melnikow .
