Andrejewka ( Russian Андре́евка ) is an urban-type settlement in Moscow Oblast in Russia with 10,008 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010).

geography

The place is about 40 km as the crow flies northwest of the center of the capital of Russia and at the same time the Oblast, Moscow . It borders immediately to the west on the Moscow district of Zelenograd .

Andreevka belongs to Rajon Solnechnogorsky and is located approximately 25 km south-southeast of the administrative center Solnechnogorsk . The settlement is the seat of the municipality (gorodskoje posselenije) Andrejewka, which also includes the villages Alabuschewo, Bakejewo, Baranzewo, Goluboje, Goretowka, Obschtschestwennik and two villages called Schilino. These are located within a radius of up to about 5 km north (Alabuschewo) through west (Schilino) to southwest (Obschtschestwennik).

history

The place was first mentioned in 1585 under the name Andrejewskaja , later the names Markowa, Spas, Spasskoje are also guaranteed, the last two apparently after the name of the local church (from Spas for Savior ). In the 1970s, the construction of prefabricated buildings began on the territory of the previously insignificant village after Zelenograd had been expanded in this direction with the district of Krjukowo. Andreyevka has had urban-type settlement status since 2004.
