Woschod [ vʌsˈxɔt ] (alternative spelling Woßchod , Russian Восход = sunrise) is an urban-type settlement in Moscow Oblast with 2007 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010).

The place was founded in 1965 under the code name Novopetrovsk-2 and is a closed city (SATO) of the military (telecommunication facility of the strategic missile forces ). It was given its current name in 1992 and urban-type settlement status in 1994. As a SATO, Voschod forms an independent urban district on the border of the Istrinsky and Russky Rajons .

Not far from the settlement, the M9 trunk road is crossed by the Moscow Great Ring A108 .
