Alain Louvier

Alain Louvier (born September 13, 1945 in Paris ) is a French composer .

Louvier studied between 1967 and 1970 at the Conservatoire in Paris with Henriette Puig-Roget , Olivier Messiaen , Tony Aubin , Robert Veyron-Lacroix , Norbert Dufourcq and Manuel Rosenthal . In 1968 he won the Prix ​​de Rome . He then directed the École Normale de Musique in Boulogne-sur-Seine (now Boulogne-Billancourt ). From 1986 to 1991 he was director of the Conservatoire.

Louvier composed pieces for piano and for harpsichord , chamber music works and orchestral pieces .
