Alan Schneider , actually Abram Leopoldovich Schneider (born November 29 . Jul / 12. December 1917 greg. In Kharkov , Russia , † 3. May 1984 in London , United Kingdom ) was a Russian - American theater - and film director .
Life
Schneider corresponded with Samuel Beckett for many years. He was killed by a motorcycle while crossing the street in London while he was about to mail a letter to Beckett.
