Alba Adéle August (born June 6, 1993 in Copenhagen ) is a Swedish - Danish actress .

Personal

She is the daughter of the Danish director Bille August and the Swedish actress and director Pernilla August .

Career

August started out as a child actress . She had her first role in 2001 in her father's film En Sång för Martin . In 2016, she played a hostage on Countdown Copenhagen . From 2018 to 2020 August starred in one of the leading roles in the Danish-language Netflix series The Rain . In 2018 she played the young Astrid Lindgren in the movie Astrid .

In 2019, August was awarded the Stockholm Film Festival's “Rising Star” award for young talent .
